What pluck does

pluck reads the public archive and public reader comments of a Substack publication and returns a report of product ideas, with the evidence, market and offer behind each. It reads only what the publication shows the public.

The audit is run by AI models and automated searches. The report can contain mistakes, including statements about the writer, the readers or the market that the sources do not support, and it quotes public text written by other people. Check anything you plan to act on, and you are responsible for how you use the report.

The free audit and the unlock

Each email address gets one free audit. It shows the first idea in full and the others locked. Unlocking the rest costs the price shown on the report at the time, and payment is taken when you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe, and your use of its checkout is also subject to Stripe's terms.

You agree to give a working email address and accurate billing details, and to be responsible for purchases made with them.

Refunds

All sales are final, and payments are not refundable, with two exceptions where you pay nothing:

• A technical error on our side. If an audit fails, you are not charged, and a failed free audit does not use up your free one. If you paid and a technical error on our side then keeps you from getting what you paid for, you are refunded in full.
• Fewer ideas than you paid for. If an audit delivers fewer ideas than the number you paid for, you pay nothing for it. On a free audit that finds fewer than the full set, every idea it found is shown to you for free and there is nothing to unlock or pay for.

If something is wrong with a purchase, email [email protected] with your report link. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law.

No guaranteed results

The report is information to help you decide what to build. It is not business, financial, legal or tax advice, and it does not promise that any idea will sell or earn anything. What happens depends on things outside our control, including the market and your own work.

Your use of pluck

Do not misuse pluck: do not try to break or overload it, get around its limits, reach data that is not yours, or scrape it. Do not use a report to harass or impersonate a writer, or to republish their work. We may refuse, limit or end an audit, or access to pluck, that breaks these terms.

You may use your report and share it by its link. The quotes in it belong to the people who wrote them. The site, its design and its methods belong to L2 Inc. or its licensors.

Disclaimers

pluck is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a report will be accurate, complete or current.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, L2 Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of pluck or a report, and its total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the audit the claim is about. You agree to hold L2 Inc. harmless from claims arising from your breach of these terms or from your use of a report about a publication that is not yours.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms by posting a new version here. The date at the top says when they last changed, and the version in force when you pay governs that purchase.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, and any dispute is subject to binding arbitration in Alberta, Canada, except that either side may bring a claim in small claims court where it qualifies. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
